CertaPro Painters: Employee Satisfaction & Retention
Client: CertaPro Painters, North America’s largest painting company with over 350 independently owned and operated franchised businesses located throughout the United States and Canada.
Purpose: The goal of this research was to explore what makes certain CertaPro franchises successful in retaining painters and staff while maintaining high employee satisfaction. By studying a cross-section of these "painter-centric" franchises, we uncovered the key factors that contribute to their success.
Our Approach: Franchises self-identified as painter-centric and agreed to participate in this study. Colab engaged with all levels within the franchises: business owners, production assistants, general managers, and painters to gather insights. Clear patterns emerged from the responses.
The Bigger Picture: This research was part of a broader Painter Centricity Strategic Change Initiative. These interviews were a crucial step toward developing a company-wide Coaching Guide for Painter Centricity at CertaPro Painters.
